The user may start to search for objects via a Simple search which smoothly becomes an Advanced search when adding further metadata fields to the search.
Via "Advanced Search" the user gets to the advanced search facility for OBJECTS.
Vie "Collections" the user gets to the same feature for COLLECTIONS.
Information on collections and on objects may be searched separately.
In the collection search facility additionally collections may be found that did not yet provide digital catalogue (object) metadata to the DISMARC platform.
The Advanced Search Box
The red box in the upper part of the screen contains all input and select fields for searching.
The user may include selected or all Metadata (Any Field) fields, use Boolean operators, multilingual features, lookup lists and vocabularies when shaping the query. The search may be restricted to those records that carry audio samples and items and collections might be searched individually.
The selectbox starting with "Any field" opens up a list of catalogue (metadata) fields that may be searched through individually.

When the users starts the search for “Rumba” in the simple search the screen changes and the result list is displayed. The user may adapt the result list presentation to personal needs.
Index Scan
The "Index scan" shows the information on how many records in each archive have been found.
Clicking once on the archive acronym adds the archive to the query. This way more than one archive might be looked through. (If the user selects RBB and than TOM and hits the return button – or starts the search again – then only the joint 33 items of these archives are displayed in the result list.
Clicking once again on the same archive acronym leads the user immediately to the found items of this archive.
